I’ve only been out of school for 4 weeks so I’m not going to pretend like I’m ready to go back to school yet. Although I have not started working, planning, or preparing yet, I have been thinking about the upcoming year daily. Of course, I have also been exercising that “Pin It” button! (Side note: My school boards are getting a little out of control. Too many incredible ideas!)
I’m linking up with Jess to share my goals for the new school year.
I am the same way with literacy and math. When we had to set our professional goals at the end of last year for this year, mine was also in the area of math and better prepping!
My goal this year is to also not be a Sunday night planner. I intend to have everything done before I leave on Friday. This way Sunday can be spent with my family instead of stressing over my planning! I also made a goal to keep all my my grading at school and spend more time in the evening exercising and working/playing with my growing kids. Good luck all your goals!
We have the same goal! 🙂 I am however opposite on you with the math/reading planning…math is more of my strong one. 🙂 I LOVE the idea of ONE stay late and plan day!!!!! That's a super good idea!! 🙂 I'm your newest NC follower! 🙂
I am setting the same goal. Stay late one day a week and leave by 5 every other day. Also, before school starts, go in 2-4 times a week for a few hours so that I will not have to stay late the week before school.
We have very similar goals! Especially the professional one! I didn't teach math at ALL last year and definitely need to focus a lot of energy on that this year!
